PrivacyPro™ Survey
CompliancePro Solutions provides privacy, security and breach content and workflows, but are investigating whether we want to expand our compliance footprint. We have been busily adding to our capabilities within our web-based solution, PrivacyPro, and have come upon an area we are looking at that would expand. We do not know if we will undertake any work on this topic, but certainly wanted to ask as many of our contacts as possible for your thoughts on the subject.
The subject is OIG and GSA (along with perhaps various State) Exclusion lists. These exclusion lists require checks to ensure none of your service provider's (SP) employees are on these lists and thereby excluded from access to patient information or working with CMS, etc. For SP’s employees and representatives providing services under certain healthcare agreements the SP shall perform (1) an initial check of the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals and Entities (LEIE) (at www.oig.hhs.gov) and the General Services Administration’s System for Awards Management (SAM) (at www.sam.gov) and (2) thereafter, a monthly check of the LEIE and an annual check of SAM, and shall notify their customers of any excluded individuals.
We'd appreciate your feedback on the topic. It should take just a few minutes of your time. Thanks.
