1. About this Cookie Notice
This Cookie Notice explains how complianceprosolutions.com uses cookies and similar technologies, what they do, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more fully how we handle personal information.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device. Cookies allow a website to recognize your device and remember information about your visit.
We also use technologies that work in a similar way but are not cookies. These include local storage and session storage, which hold information in your browser; IndexedDB, which stores larger amounts of data in your browser; and tracking pixels and scripts, which can record that a page or an element on it has loaded. Where this Notice refers to cookies, it includes these other technologies.
Cookies set by us are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by another organization whose content appears on our pages — for example an embedded video — are third-party cookies. Third-party cookies are governed by that organization’s own privacy policy, even though they are placed while you are on our website.
Some cookies last only until you close your browser. These are session cookies. Others remain on your device until they expire or you delete them. These are persistent cookies. We use both.
3. How we ask for your consent
When you first visit, you will see a consent banner. Strictly necessary technologies load without consent because the website cannot be delivered without them. What happens to everything else depends on where you are:
- In most locations, non-essential technologies are not loaded at all until you choose to allow them.
- In certain US states, non-essential technologies may load by default, and you are given the option to opt out.
Depending on your location, the banner allows you to accept all cookies, reject everything that is not strictly necessary, choose which categories you allow, or opt out of the sale and share personal information.
You can change a choice you made earlier at any time using the privacy button shown in the lower corner of every page. Withdrawing consent stops the relevant technologies from loading onto the pages you view afterwards.
4. The categories we use
| Category | What it covers | Can you refuse it? |
|---|---|---|
| Essential | Technologies needed for the website to work, including the consent banner itself, security and bot protection, and the delivery of core page assets. | No. The website cannot function without these, and they are not used for marketing. |
| Functional | Technologies that support features of the website beyond its core delivery — typefaces, forms, embedded media, job listings and content delivery. On this website this category also includes measurements of how the website is used. | Yes |
| Marketing | Technologies associated with advertising networks, including certain embedded media players. | Yes |
5. Services used on this website
| Service | Provider | Category | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|
| Usercentrics | Usercentrics GmbH | Essential | Presents the consent banner and records your choices. |
| gstatic.com | Google LLC | Essential | Delivers static assets used by other Google services on our pages. |
| Google Fonts | Google LLC | Functional | Delivers the typefaces used across the website. |
| HubSpot Forms | HubSpot, Inc. | Functional | Hosts and processes our contact and enquiry forms. |
| Google reCAPTCHA | Google LLC | Functional | Protects our forms from automated abuse. |
| WordPress.com Stats | Automattic Inc. | Functional | Measures how the website is used. Receives the address of each page you view, including any search term contained in that address, the page that referred you, your IP address, your browser type and your screen size. |
| WordPress.com assets | Automattic Inc. | Functional | Delivers images and stylesheets through the WordPress.com content network. |
| Gravatar | Automattic Inc. | Functional | Displays author profile images on articles. |
| Google AJAX | Google LLC | Functional | Supports embedded Google content. |
| YouTube | Google LLC | Marketing | Embeds video on our video and resource pages. Videos appear as a still image and are not loaded until you choose to play one. We use the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com mode. |
6. Cookies and storage used on this website
| Name | Type | Set by | Expires after | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| elementor | Local storage | complianceprosolutions.com | Until deleted | Stores page layout state for the site builder. |
| elementor | Session storage | complianceprosolutions.com | Session | Stores temporary page layout state. |
| wpEmojiSettingsSupports | Session storage | complianceprosolutions.com | Session | Records whether your browser supports emoji rendering. |
All three are set up by our own website rather than a third party, and all three are needed for pages to display correctly. Where a row shows Session or Until deleted rather than a period, that is the correct value — session storage clears when you close the tab, and local storage remains until deleted.
7. Managing cookies in your browser
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, including cookies we classify as strictly necessary. How you do this depends on your browser; its help pages will explain. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the website working, including your ability to record a cookie preference with us.
8. Browser signals
Global Privacy Control. We recognize and honor the Global Privacy Control signals as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information and of processing for targeted advertising. These signals apply to the browser and device you set them on, so you will need to enable the signal in each browser you use. If you have already recorded a choice through our consent banner, that choice takes precedence over the signal, and you can change it at any time using the privacy button shown in the lower corner of every page.
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. There is no common industry standard for interpreting Do Not Track signals, and we do not currently respond to them.
9. Changes to this Notice
We update this Notice when the technologies we use change, and for operational, legal or regulatory reasons. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
